Excellent oil used externally for joint pains, arthritis, strains, rheumatic and muscular pains. This oil has been used for ages for muscular and rheumatic pains. It is used to staunch bloody wounds, applied to dog bites, snakebites, and insect bites. Also used as a poultice, good for boils, swellings, ulcers and old sores. It can be applied directly or mixed with Olive oil for people with sensitive skin.
Caution: Pure oil of wintergreen can cause irritation and must be used cautiously and in very small amounts. Wintergreen should never be used during pregnancy. Wintergreen oil is toxic and when taken internally can be fatal.
